Oxley Creek Revitalisation

Working together for revitalisation... Established in early 2005 as a collaborative partnership between Brisbane City Council (BCC), Queensland Environmental Protection Agency, Oxley Creek Catchment Association and major landholders, AGDF Oxley Creek Working Group is focusing on key study areas within the catchment where it can play a role in accelerating plans for rehabilitation and future development. Following the announcement by BCC to appoint a taskforce to make rehabilitation of Oxley Creek a priority, Civic Cabinet has now approved a process where AGDF will assist the Taskforce in undertaking studies needed for decision making by Brisbane City Planning and the Office of Urban Management. AGDF now has its own project team to assist BCC in preparing a structure plan for Paradise Wetlands that can be incorporated as part of its local growth management strategies for the future. This exciting pilot project will create a new model for achieving sustainable development.
