Our vision
Sustainable urban communities across Australia

What is our mission?
To accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices in the Australian building and development industry.

The Australian Green Development Forum is a balanced, non-profit coalition of members from development industries, government organisations and community groups. It is endorsed by industry and environmental bodies, and is aligned to community sectors that also have an interest in fostering sustainable development.

Principles - the Four Pillars

Partnerships
The AGDF will provide a recognised and respected forum to connect innovators whose goal is to forge links between

sustainable development practices and technologies
appropriate institutional frameworks
adoption and implementation by business, and
demand from consumers in the marketplace.

The Business Case
The AGDF will promote effective sustainable development as that which offers market competitive products to consumers and a return on investment to the building and development industry.

Best Practice
The AGDF will support and promote leading-edge practices in environmental and resource management and corporate social responsibility.

Advocacy
The AGDF will actively encourage the creation of an informed, responsible and knowledgeable community (innovators, legislators, business and consumers) that demands and achieves sustainable development.
